How to Cook
Pupusa Heating Instructions
Feel free to enjoy your pupusa by eating it however you'd like! However, if you'd like to try it the traditional way, we suggest adding some pickled cabbage (known in El Salvador as curtido) and a bit of mild salsa.
Heating Instructions:
Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on your cooking skills, equipment, and preferences.
Cook from frozen on the stovetop between 14-15 minutes. Use a wide or pancake spatula to flip.
- Preheat a non-stick pan or skillet on medium heat, and add 1/2 tsp oil.
- Important Step: Once the pan or skillet is hot, cook one side for 4-5 minutes before flipping. Avoid flipping them too early.
- Once you flip, cook the other side for 4-5 minutes. Flip again until firm and fully cooked. Enjoy!
